Sheldon tries to “optimize” family dinner conversation using a timed flowchart. Missy, for once, doesn’t roll her eyes. Instead, she sits quietly, stabbing a meatball. Then she says: “You know, for a genius, you really don’t get that people just want to be near each other. Not everything is a problem to solve.” Georgie laughs awkwardly. Mary almost cries. George Sr. reaches over and takes the flowchart, folds it into a paper airplane, and sails it into the living room.
