The interface looked like it hadn’t been updated since 2009. A cluttered grid of posters, some with watermarks from three different languages. Links labeled “Stream 1,” “Stream 2,” “Stream 3 (BACKUP).” Clicking was always a gamble: would you get the movie, or a pop-up promising a free iPhone?
