Open-air fires are subject to weather conditions. On dry, windy days, Toronto Fire Services may issue restrictions. Always check the City of Toronto’s open-air fire regulations or the Ontario Place social media accounts before heading out.

While the pit structure is provided, wood is not. You will need to bring your own seasoned firewood. Note: Transporting firewood long distances can spread invasive insects; it’s best to buy local kiln-dried wood from a Toronto hardware store or delivery service.

The fire pit is a public amenity. There is no booking system. On chilly autumn evenings or mild spring weekends, the pit fills up quickly. Arrive early—ideally by 4:00 PM—to secure a spot.
