The real Rick, belching, holding a half-empty bottle of something green, stared at the pixelated abomination grabbing his grandson.
It was. Someone had ripped a foreign broadcast and overlaid a canned laugh track from a 90s sitcom. Every time Rick insulted Morty, a ghostly “HA-HA-HAAA” echoed from the tablet’s tinny speaker. The episode was called “Solaricks,” but the subtitle file was from a different language. Instead of “Get Schwifty,” the lyrics translated to “I am a malfunctioning microwave.”
