Here is why Season 19 is must-watch TV—even if you don’t speak a word of Finnish. For those who don’t know: Olen Julkkis follows the exact same format as the UK original. A bunch of C-list (and sometimes genuinely A-list) Finnish celebrities are dumped into the Malaysian or South African jungle. They eat rice and beans, sleep in hammocks, and compete in disgusting trials to win stars for food.

Finland loves sauna. The jungle does not. In a cruel twist, the producers built a plastic sauna tent. The celebrities had to sit inside at 50°C humidity while eating mämmi (a traditional Finnish Easter dessert that looks like mud).
