MPLAB IDE v8.92 is the final stable release of Microchip’s classic, legacy integrated development environment for 8-bit PIC microcontrollers (e.g., PIC10, PIC12, PIC16, PIC18 families) and some older 16-bit devices (PIC24, dsPIC30/33). It was superseded by MPLAB X IDE (based on NetBeans) starting around 2011.
