Juki Lee !link! -

In a contemporary art world often dominated by maximalism, spectacle, and high-speed digital production, Juki Lee stands as a compelling counterpoint. She is a multidisciplinary artist—primarily working in sculpture, installation, and drawing—whose work is defined by its profound stillness, material sensitivity, and exploration of memory, absence, and the body.

Artforum wrote of her 2022 show: “Lee doesn’t shout. She whispers. And in that whisper, you hear everything—the ache of departure, the stubbornness of hope, the shape of a hand that once held yours.” Though still early in her career (born 1985), Juki Lee has influenced a younger generation of artists exploring slow craft, trauma, and diaspora without overt narrative. Her work has been acquired by the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; Leeum Museum of Art, Seoul; and the Hammer Museum, Los Angeles. juki lee
