Most players rely on interrupting your tempo. By refusing to be interrupted, you break their flowchart. They will start jumping. They will start running. That is when you pull out your (cross-training in Fortitude for a crossbow) or a Gale Trap .
If they are near a wall, use Collapse (Strength 80). It kicks them into the wall for a 1-second stun. Follow with a fully charged M2. They die. heavy deepwoken
Do not swing first. Walk forward. Parry their light attack. Immediately feint a charged M2. 90% of players will parry early. Release the M2. You just did 30% of their HP. Most players rely on interrupting your tempo

After they get knocked down, do not stand still. Jump forward and use your weapon’s Critical (Hold X) right as they get up. Most heavies have a ground-hugging critical. They will roll into it.
Never trade with a PvE mob or a Gale Lunge . Always trade with a Light Dagger or Medium Sword . Know the matchup. Part VI: The Psychology – Playing the Villain Wielding a Heavy weapon is a psychological weapon. When you walk slowly toward a Light user, holding your Kanabo over your shoulder, you are telling them: "I am willing to get hit."
