The screen fades in from black. A battered, dusty Fiat Doblo enters a narrow village lane. Goats scatter. A gray-bearded muhtar (village headman) is drinking tea, watching suspiciously. On the radio: a pop song cuts to an emergency broadcast about a missing cherry shipment.
Our protagonist, (45, weary, wearing an old Adidas tracksuit), parks next to a cherry tree. His phone buzzes. It’s his cousin, Tansu :
