Watch everything except Episodes 29, 66, 84, 85, and 86. The "anime-canon" arc (130–157) is genuinely fun world-building. The "Devil Believers" arc (130-157) feels like a long movie cut into pieces.

With 170 episodes under its belt, Black Clover is surprisingly light on filler compared to other long-running Shonen giants like Naruto or One Piece . However, the filler it does have is placed in some tricky spots.

The only exception is Episode 66 (the pool episode), which is totally safe to ignore. If you are watching for the main story (Asta, Yuno, and the Devils): Watch Episodes 1–120, then jump to Episode 158 . You will miss the long training arc, but you won't be confused about the main plot.
